Glad to know your photography site http://www.lemiecorse.com/ from my friend. He is such a nice guy and always shares me something great. I love your photos, sepia style and black & white in particular. The only pity is that you put a very obscure "IMC" on the each photo. I know it is for copy right, but it somehow affects the art perfection.

Without doubt, you are very skillful on photography. I just hope to see your more photos moved me a lot even bring me a tear. Of course esthetic formal makes sense to me, like beautiful lines, bodies, structures......But what is the soul of traveling photos? What will cause a great impact on the readers? Maybe the relation of environment and humans should be concerned by the photographer. Even if no humans appear in the photo, the viewers are still able to feel something humane, cultural, not only the pure landscape. That's why your photo "ONE MAN", "SUMMER IS OVER"," STAIRWAY TO YOUR DESTINATION" touched me more.

I would like to recommend you a great photography site created by Zhou Mi who lives in San Francisco. He loves black & white photos also. I think X-pan camera brings him a special photography experience, and a freelancer makes him focus on his own art style. With his art creed "Follow my heart, not something else", he resigned from Young & Rubicam Inc./ K & L Advertising New York as a Art Director in 2004.

Zhou Mi's note on his site, "THE ROAD GOES EVER ON AND ON ...." is so well-written that I can't help to quote here:

"People, is the ultimate subject matter, because of its complexity, diversity, and its endless possibilities. I see the mark of the material world on each individual; in the material world itself, I see the trace left by each individual's consciousness, that which is formless, but also timeless. I record them in my mind as well as on film. I attempt to record people, their environment, and the particular atmosphere that moved me. I often think an environment without humans is dull and soulless; similarly, a human being independent of his environment appears pale and lost. I attempt to express the fluid nature of time in a 2-dimentional media - a still picture. My pictures are very personal. At the time when they record the reality around me, they also record my thoughts and my mood. I enjoy traveling alone and experiencing the wonders of nature and society.
