儿子丫头不肯移民，这次来温哥华探亲两周半，原本冀望他们能感受加拿大的风景、空气、社会体制而因此改变主意，不料一个礼拜不到，他们亲见了几件我前后三年都没有遇到过的奇事，以至对我原先的温哥华描述之真实性大打折扣。
第一不良印象首先是因温哥华市政工人罢工而积累的肮脏和垃圾。上周五虽然风大，太阳却从云层中不时地探出头来，洒下雨季秋日宝贵而又罕见的光芒。俺家老公兴冲冲地带他们去女皇公园，想让他们领略死火山的美丽和魅力。可是到了那里，连我老公都大失所望：由于近三个月没人料理，公园一派残败景象，花儿奄奄一息，杂草疯长。厕所地上脏纸满地臭水流淌（Stanley Park 的厕所也是）。以前说在中国找洗手间只要按异味方向走去即可，现在号称最适宜人类居住的温哥华的公厕竟然也是臭气熏天。

(去年）学校暑假期间去社区游泳池锻炼后，顺便到隔壁的图书馆看书看报。在那里，发现一个令人汗颜的现象：英文书刊处的摆放大多时候井然有序，而中文报刊架凌乱且不说，有本中文菜谱甚至被人撕掉好几叶。此书的首页，还有人用中文写了一段话，提醒读者如果对某部分感兴趣的话可以在图书馆里复印，估计也算亡羊补牢吧。
几週前，温哥华的电视终于曝光了图书馆中文书籍人为损坏严重的现象。那天网友携女儿到我家给她太空人丈夫从国内代购的电子字典，正好电视里播放列治文图书馆内中文书籍的“惨状”，这十分鈡不到的新闻报道对我们来说有点漫长有点难熬，原先喜相逢的话题随即转到“历数”种种陋习上去了。

"The Smile”, written by Ray Bradbury, describes the destructive impact of war, a story that war destroys not only the city’s structure, but also the appreciation of morality and culture. The crowds are queuing to spit on an oil painting belonging to the past, called the "Mona Lisa". In the group, there is a unique boy named Tom, who has all the qualities to restore civilization in his country, as he not only possesses curiosity but also the ability to appreciate beauty and love.
At the beginning of the story, Tom shows his great curiosity about the object they are going to spit upon. He knows from other people that the portrait is “made of oil and canvas” and is “four centuries old.” Confused, Tom can not understand why people hate her. From the dialogue between Tom and Grigsby, readers see Tom’s hidden qualms towards the information he gets from Grigsby and the action he is urged to do. Attracted by that woman’s smile, Tom is eager to see the portrait.

本女子有泪不轻弹，今晚要流流个爽，把移民两年半来的复杂的感受 — 幸福，满意，精彩，压力、无奈，孤独，压抑。。。等等等，统统地化作倾盆雨，洒落在茄子般地，喝彩的嘴角边上。
这台中CCTV加CBC电视台联合举办〈中加手拉手为奥运喝彩〉实场转播的音乐会，得到多家媒体赞助。音乐会周六在PNE 那里的太平洋国际展览中心举办，两国一流艺术水平的艺术家荟萃同台。
天车转16路，温哥华公车偶尔那么拥挤，大多数是华人，可见这台晚会对移民的吸引力之大。节目单充分体现了加拿大的多元文化的博大胸怀，第一场就是原住民的音乐舞蹈。

住过的地方- 郊区厂宿舍(下) 1969~1973
我们那厂，前不着镇後不着店。每周48小时工作制，一个礼拜回市区一次，戏称我们厂与劳改营无异。其实，业余生活还是蛮丰富的。
男孩子下班後就去打篮球，夏天的时候到桥上一个个往河里跳水，企图以最出众的姿势吸引女孩子们的注意力。女孩子们边打毛衣边评论，往往对心仪的那位装出满不在乎的样子。

"Age is only a number~" My step-son comforted me confidently, when I mentioned I should not have started playing piano at age more than hald century; I compained that my poor piano skill caused by aging, "what you need is a good teacher." He says so easily
But, more and more I have realized that age is not only a number. I can forget the number, but can not stop forgetting things taught by teacher in high school. Moreover, the increasing fats gathering in my abdomen, looks like developing economy of my country, or like speedy inflation of my country. On the other hand, no matter how I try, my piano stays opposite of my age - immature. My fingures retards, can not follow either my reading on the music notes, or my will.

Mr. Luria appreciates his traditional Jewish culture; however, he also accepts new possibilities in life. Mr.Luria’s flexibility results his children an unforgettable memory of a Halloween Party.
In his family, Mr. Luria, a conventional Jewish person, wishes to keep his ethnic traditions and identity. He thinks the Halloween Party is something related to the Christian religion; moreover, he wants his children to know who they are and keeps their original roots and history in their mind. That is why Mr. Luria, at first, objects his children “celebrating Christmas or going to a Halloween Party”.
