忙碌
从中国回来之后一直十分忙碌，没有时间更新。连累一些读者浪费了时间，抱歉。
我们公司的创立人退休，我顺理成章接任CIO。工作职责也从单纯管理股票基金扩大到管理全部投资，包括我们公司的主要产品——TrueBalance平衡基金。着手对以前的投资组合进行大规模调整，许多研究工作要完成，就把自己变得很忙碌。
恰逢股市大幅下跌，愈发紧张。不过到目前为止，我管理的投资组合表现良好，有运气因素，也因为我在风险管理上这段时间以来一直坚持十分谨慎的姿态。

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
As Chief Investment Officer, Edward provides principal oversight of the company’s investment processes and global research capabilities. As Chair of Barlow's Investment Committee, he leads the team of portfolio managers responsible for all major investment activities. This includes adjusting the firm’s allocations to each asset class, manager, or strategy, and conducting portfolio risk management and performance measurement activities. He will report to the CEO and Board on a regular basis.As the director of research, Edward maintains the firm’s economic and quantitative models, and ensures the production of timely and robust research on a wide variety of sectors, industries, and individual companies, as well as the broader macro-economic environment.
Edward manages the firm’s internal long-short and market-neutral global equity mandates, with a focus on US-exchange listed equity securities and ADRs. He also actively participates in the security and manager selection process in other asset classes.
Edward joined Barlow in January 2007 and has 12 years of financial analysis experience doing quantitative modeling and directional correlation analysis. In 2004 he established Riskfile, an independent investment consulting company that provided innovative portfolio construction programs to financial advisors, dealers and institutes. Edward also was the CEO of Chengdu China West Investment Co., a firm that specialized in investing in Chinese companies. Edward was also the Chief Editor of NAI Interactive which operated a Chinese language investment newspaper distributed in Canada, and an investment information website (chineseworldnet.com) in Chinese, the largest one in the world.
Edward holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has an MA in Economics from Peking University.
近来的资本市场十分精彩，许多进展——比如欧元区衰退、美元企稳走强、失业率上升、石油与资源类商品价格下跌、股市不振——等等，在方向上与我之前的判断都是一致的。本来是有许多精彩内容可以写，无赖时间不允许，只好等以后再说吧。
也不断接到一些读者email，询问在加拿大、美国入行投资银行的路径与难度等问题。希望过段时间可以就此写写自己的看法。
